Introduction
Technip Energies has been awarded an Engineering, Procurement support and Construction management services contract by Neste for the expansion of their renewable products refinery in Singapore. This project will increase the overall refinery renewable products production by up to 1.3 million tons per year and includes our proprietary steam reforming technology.
This award demonstrates our long-standing relationship with Neste, established in 2007, with the delivery of two world-scale renewable fuels units in Rotterdam and Singapore.

Challenge
Building on a renewable fuels legacy.
More than 10 years ago, Neste decided to invest in second-generation biofuels. Today, this strategic move is powering a company renaissance.
In 2007, Neste moved into the emerging biofuels market with plants in Singapore and Rotterdam. Technip Energies was asked to create a model for the company’s technology that could be leveraged worldwide. We drew on work done with BP Alliance in Rome to provide a model for a specific technology under development, and won the contract for both sites. In 2018, Technip Energies began conducting studies for the expansion of the Singapore site and in 2019 implementation began.
Solutions
Technip Energies is providing high value-added project execution expertise for the expansion of Neste’s Singapore plant. We are offering overall management know-how and ensuring continuous improvement.
Shortly after expansion began on the Singapore plant, Neste was ranked the world’s third most sustainable company on Corporate Knights’ 2019 list.

Technip Energies’ longstanding involvement in this project has led to strong integration with the client’s team. Wherever possible, we deploy experts who were involved in the 2007 projects to reap the benefits of their experience and client familiarity.
Neste’s top priorities are health and safety and we are supporting those efforts 100 percent. In addition, we are helping the client manage lifecycle costs, CAPEX and OPEX, and quality.
