Our BirdVIGI™ digital solution has won the Silver Medal at the ‘Data Evening’ (Nuit de la Data) event in Paris on February 6.

This high-profile ceremony brought together more than 500 professionals to celebrate innovation in technology.

BirdVIGI™ competed in Category 4 “Data teams projects” along with 9 other projects by large companies such as Axa, Brut, Club Med, Disneyland etc.

BirdVIGI™ protects migratory birds that fly near to industrial facilities. When it detects flocks approaching, the system temporarily dims lights at the site, reducing the chances of attracting the birds.

As part of the submission process, every nomination pitched their project in front of a jury, who assessed the overall quality of the presentation, the level of innovation, effectiveness, and sustainability of each project.

Cédric Lecolley, jury member and Commercial Director of GS1, an IT Services and IT Consulting company in Paris, stated: “The jury was unanimous and impressed to discover the uses of Data in something other than a mere return on investment. With T.EN’s BirdVIGI, we have a very concrete, very well thought out, scalable example of reducing the impact of an economic activity on the environment.”

The BirdVIGI™ system was put forward by Yodrick Monbeig, Engineer, Advanced Systems Engineering. After picking up the prize, Yodrick said: "I'm delighted that T.EN is able to bring such ground-breaking environmental solutions to our clients."

Finally, Marie Gepel, Vice President Digital Transformation, added: BirdVIGI™ is a perfect example of the products we want to develop at T.EN, using Data to serve our clients, in line with our sustainability goals.”
