Reju™, the textile-to-textile regeneration company owned by Technip Energies, has won the Environmental Award in the Sustainable Regeneration category at the 2025 Just Style Excellence Awards.
The Awards, using business intelligence produced by GlobalData, celebrate the most influential innovations and changemakers shaping the future of the apparel and textile industry.
Reju was recognized for its practical, scalable solution to one of the industry’s most urgent challenges – turning post-consumer textile waste into a valuable resource.
Approximately 92 million tons of textile waste is generated annually around the world, but less than 1 percent is currently recycled1. Reju is addressing that recycling challenge.
The company’s process transforms post-consumer and post-industrial textile waste into Reju Polyester™. Carbon emissions from the production of this high-performance material are 50 per cent lower than using virgin alternatives.
Reju’s closed-loop system enables infinite regeneration of polyester without loss of quality, significantly reducing reliance on virgin materials.
A cornerstone of Reju’s innovative approach is Regeneration Hub Zero, a purpose-built textile regeneration demo plant located in Frankfurt, Germany. The hub integrates technology originally developed by IBM Research and further advanced by Technip Energies.
As well as providing a demonstration model for future sites, Regeneration Hub Zero sets new standards for circular infrastructure in the textile sector.
Notably, the Reju process helps foster industry collaboration and support a circular economy.
