Introduction
At Technip Energies, building a sustainable future means more than delivering engineering excellence - it means connecting with and contributing to the communities in which we work. One way we do this is our global volunteering program, We Volunteer.
Background
Since its launch, initiatives under the We Volunteer program have positively impacted more than 800,000 lives. In 2024, employees across 17 countries organized 271 initiatives to dedicate their talent and over 29,000 hours of their time to causes that matter.

Solution
In Egypt, the Assiut Hydrocracking Complex project team brought joy and support to two local orphanages. Employees volunteered 170 hours to organize a celebration, install new playgrounds, and donate essential household items. With support from International SOS, children received medical check-ups, and staff were trained in first aid – building longer-term resilience in the community.
In India, teams from Technip Energies’ Chennai operating center organized a two-day blood donation drive to address vital shortages in blood supply across the region’s hospitals. Our employees donated 288 units of blood - enough to potentially save over 850 lives.
In Malaysia, 70 volunteers from our Kuala Lumpur operating center partnered with the Malaysian Nature Society for a beach clean-up and mangrove planting at Bagan Lalang Beach. Together, they collected 267 kg of waste and planted 350 mangrove seeds, directly contributing to coastal restoration and biodiversity.
Meanwhile, in Australia, Technip Energies employees volunteered at Foodbank WA’s Hunger Relief Centre, sorting through 1,500 kg of produce, and packaging 1,200 meals for vulnerable families across Western Australia.
Results
These initiatives and many more are expressions of Technip Energies’ values, and our belief that engaging with our local communities is not an obligation, but an opportunity to give back. We Volunteer aligns with the UN Sustainable Development Goals and encourages employee engagement, team building, cross-cultural collaboration, and a shared sense of mission.
In just a few years, We Volunteer has grown from a program into a global movement of purpose.
